Hop to Another SongCmaj7If you wanna Gparty with some Em7body who might D7know
about the Cmaj7burden on his Gshoulder under Em7his haD7lo.
When the Cmaj7toxins take their Ghold you’d rather Em7cry than let it D7go
but if you’re Cmaj7sick of him – I Ggot you –
I was Em7patient zeN.C.ro.
Cmaj7 G I’ve Em7gotta be honest I’ve D7been expecting your Cmaj7call, G
Em7 no it’s not a bad D7time at all. Cmaj7 G
I Em7heard somebody saying there’s D7trouble in paCmaj7radise G
Em7 and my lips,D7 are sealed tight now.
Cmaj7 It’s,G not,Em7 for,D7
me,Cmaj7 to,G tell
N.C.someone else what to do.
Cmaj7If you wanna Gparty with some Em7body who might D7know
about the Cmaj7burden on his Gshoulder under Em7his haD7lo.
When the Cmaj7toxins take their Ghold you’d rather Em7cry than let it D7go
but if you’re Cmaj7sick of him – I Ggot you –
I was Em7patient zeD7ro.
Cmaj7 G I Em7bet he burst into your D7life like fireCmaj7works, G
I Em7bet he even said “I D7love you” first. Cmaj7 G
And Em7when you saw your whole world suddenD7ly fall out Cmaj7of place, G
I Em7bet he kissed the rain D7off your face.
Cmaj7 Now,G he,[Em7
seems,D7 bored,Cmaj7 by,G you
N.C.and you don’t know what to do.
(I was patient)
I was Gpatient zeEm7ro.
So let’s get into it – Cmaj7
I know, he Gcharmed your family and Dm7friends and you thought it’s D7cuz he loves you but it’s
Cmaj7cuz he loves how Geverybody else loves Dm7him. (uh D7huh)
Cmaj7 I know, it Gseems like he shines so Dm7bright
but he’s bathing D7in your reflected Cmaj7light
on a free Gsolo social Dm7climb. (uh D7huh)
Cmaj7 Take it from somebody who Glost his games but Em7won the race,
take it from someone D7who said all of this Cmaj7to his face,
someGone who knows she’s more than Em7just the chase,
D7someone who had him,Cmaj7 and walked aGway,
and D7so.
So Am7if you wanna Gkick it then I’m Em7with it I’ve been Bm7there,
felt the Am7reeling done the Ghealing said the Em7curses and Bm7pray’rs.
When the Am7fever turns a Gdreamer into Em7a pathetic Bm7ghost,
if he’s Cmaj7leaving you I Gsee you I was N.C.patient zero.
