Hop to Another SongBaby what’s your karma like
cuz wow you must’ve earned me historically.
Don’t have to hold it in no more
I’ll take it, babe. (I’ll take it, babe)
Ooh we could blame the moon or blame the tides,
music so sweet, a tear fell from my eye,
don’t have to lift a finger,
was it something I said?
Yeh I think I give ‘em, big feelings, (mm)
big feelings, (mm)
I know I give ‘em big, big,
there are worse things that I could do.
Big feelings (mm), they’re only big feelings, (mm)
I know I give ‘em big, big –
there’re worse things that I could…
Let me take things off your mind
cuz joy can heal you so therapeutically.
Whether we’re on the phone or real life
I got you babe. (I got you babe)
Ooh you could blame the stars or blame the sky,
this voice is ’bout to make the whole world cry,
there’s no need to break down,
leave it all in my head.
Yeh I think I give ‘em, big feelings, (mm)
big feelings, (mm)
I know I give ‘em big, big,
there are worse things that I could do.
Big feelings (mm), they’re only big feelings, (oh)
I know I give ‘em big, big –
there’re worse things that I could, do.
There’re worse things that I could, do. (mm).
Oh yeh,
I know it can be so hard sometimes for me to stop it,
once you express yourself it can become so aquatic.
Come swim in these waters,
let the current set your spirit free.
So baby can you promise me,
that you’ll accept me, properly,
then I’ll give you big, big
Big feelings (I know), big feelings (I know),
I know I give ‘em big, big,
there are worse things that I could do.
Big feelings (mm), they’re only big feelings (mm),
I know I give ‘em big, big,
there are worse things that I could do (oh).
Big feelings (I know), big feelings (I know),
I know I give ‘em big, big,
there are worse things that I could do.
Big feelings (mm), they’re only big feelings (mm),
I know I give ‘em big, big,
there’re worse things that I could, do (mm).
There’re worse things that I could, do (mm)
(uh)
I had to soften quite a lot of this as the chorus and bridge are strongly suggestive. With that said, changes like “his eye” to “my eye” were done 1 of 2, or both, reasons – 1. continuity 2. to broaden the object from a man to the audience
Verse 1: continuity
Pre-Chorus 1: continuity, anatomical vulgarity
Chorus: continuity, softened
Verse 2: continuity, suggestive
Pre-Chorus 2: continuity, vulgarity
Bridge: continuity, double entendre, suggestive
